About the Position
Westfield Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) aspires to be the most respected youth soccer club in the nation by the hiring of professionals at all levels within the organization, the development of top tier soccer programs, and diligent and dedicated service to our members. Headquartered in Westfield, IN, WYSA has more than 2100 members in recreation, travel, and adult, soccer programs and contracts more than 55 people within the areas of coaching, technical directors and administrative support.
Westfield Youth Soccer Association was founded in 1982 on the elementary school grounds and played its games on land provided by the local Methodist church. We were fortunate that as we grew the Habig family provided 40 acres of land so the club could come together on one site for practice and games. Since those early days the club has continued to grow, adding a second complex at Shamrock Springs, and is now considered the 4th largest club in the State. In 2014 the club will once again be making a major change when it moves to the Grand Park Complex, a state-of-the-art soccer and field sport facility.
The Executive Director will be responsible for the overall administration and management of WYSA/WSSC, including service programs, marketing, fund raising, facilities management and soccer operations. Areas of responsibility include planning and evaluation, policy development and administration, personnel and fiscal management, and public relations. This is a full-time position, hired by and directly accountable to the WYSA Board of Directors.
- Managerial and leadership experience
- Proven ability to initiate and facilitate fund-raising activities, internal and external to the club
- Demonstrate a professional level of communications, oral/verbal and written
- Experience interfacing with multiple entities such as Government and community leaders
- Experience developing budgets and managing contracts
- Experience, as a team member, with planning and hosting large soccer tournaments
- Experience with Microsoft Office products is desired
- Experience working with Got Soccer or similar soccer scheduling software
Education / work experience Required:
Bachelors degree or higher in Business or Sports Administration with 4 years of relevant employment experience or 10+ years of relevant employment experience. Active participation in sporting organizations and/or governing bodies.
Monetary compensation will be a combination of a base compensation plus various incentives. The base compensation will be 60K annually provided all contractual requirements are fulfilled.
