INDIANA SOCCER CONCLUDED ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL STATE CUP FINALS

Indiana Soccer, the US Youth Soccer Association’s and US Soccer Federation’s only Indiana-based soccer association, announced the completion of the 2013 State Cup Finals.

As part of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series, the State Cup Finals offered three days of excitement, surprises and most importantly, memorable and emotional matches based on the fantastic support of the participants and fans.

“On behalf of the board of directors and staff of the Indiana Soccer Association, I’d like to extend a very sincere thank you to all of the participants for their contributions to the success of this year’s cup competitions,” said Dave Guthrie, executive director of Indiana Soccer. “Congratulations to all of the winning teams in each of our competitions. We have confidence you will represent the great state of Indiana well.”

Thanks to the committed efforts of the Columbus Express Soccer Club staff; especially to Kenrick Ramirez, Chip Orben and Jenny Carlson along with the entire Columbus Chamber of Commerce and the Columbus Park Department. This past weekend event proved to be another successful year for all Indiana Soccer members and clubs.

“I have some kids playing in some other sports and nothing runs like Indiana Soccer,” said Tom Baker, under-14 boys coach for Carmel FC. “Everything is so well organized and communicated. It’s the best run organization in the state.”

Along with the state referee committee, the association would like to thank its recent partner Indy Eleven and its general manager Peter Wilt for his presence at several award ceremonies to hand out trophies and medals to the winners and runner-ups of the various competitions.

This program represents a critical component of Indiana Soccer’s mission to create a forum for all athletes to be active in the most popular sport in the world. Also, a big thank you to the different clubs that have participated in this unique program along with the families that continually support these great athletes!

“Indiana Soccer and the TOPSoccer committee would like to especially thank club member Noblesville United Soccer Club and Richell Vaughn for coordinating with the donated trophies to award the special athletes that participated in the 2013 State Cup,” said Joy Carter, coordinator of TOPSoccer. “I am very happy to see NUSC being the latest club activating a TOPSoccer program and look forward seeing the program develop into the future.”

Indiana Soccer looks forward putting together another exciting event in 2014 for its continually growing membership.
