The Indiana Olympic Development Program not only serves elite players in the state of Indiana, but also serves as a platform for its youth players to learn to GIVE!
During the past several years, members of the Indiana Olympic Development Program have donated cleats, soccer balls and jerseys to make them accessible to member clubs that participate in community service initiatives. The Olympic Development Program has collected hundreds of pairs of cleats and soccer balls that have benefited hundreds of people around the globe.
The last community impacted was Haiti! In November of 2012, a group of volunteers led by Greg Russell from Brandywine Church who also volunteers in Greenfield Area Soccer Club, approached Joy Carter, coordinator of the Olympic Development Program to obtain soccer equipment to take to Haiti to serve dozens of children. Thanks to the donations by caring and sensitive ODP players and families, the Brandywine Church was able to serve multiple children that live in the orphanage that the church serves. Indiana Soccer and the Olympic Development Program staff are pleased to know that members can make a huge impact on people that are in need.
If you are part of community services and would like to obtain soccer equipment, please do not hesitate to contact Joy Carter at email@example.com
