REGISTER FOR THESE GREAT COACHING OPPORTUNITIES!

Indiana Soccer announces two unique coaching education programming courses in 2014.  The first, is an ALL-FEMALE National “E” License course which will be held at the Columbus Express SC (Columbus, IN)  March 28-30th, 2014. This is an attempt to allow potential female coaches to participate with their peers under the direction of Jennifer Pfeiffer, Assistant Director of Coaching for Illinois Youth Soccer and Steve Franklin, Indiana Director of Coaching Education.  Only female candidates will allowed to register and take part in this unique coaching opportunity.

“The goal of this course is to allow those who have contemplated taking an “E” course before, but were put off by the idea of having to get in and play against younger male candidates in the course,” said Franklin.  “My intent is to dissolve any apprehension a mother or such may have from taking advantage of our Coaching Education programming.”

The second programming opportunity is the announcement of a US Soccer National “C” License course, which will be hosted by Indiana Soccer at the new Grand Park Sport Complex on July 19th-27th, 2014.  The National "C" License course is designed to introduce concepts that are targeted toward coaching players ages 15-18. The course focus is on getting coaches to think about, discuss, and recognize the recurring concepts or themes that exist in soccer. Candidates will be challenged to find ways to offer constructive guidance to players while also allowing players to experience the game for themselves. - See more by clicking on the following link:

“A number of area coaches have indicated a desire to take the National “C” License course locally, at a reduced rate, during the summer rather than traveling south or west in January to one of the National schools”, replied Franklin.  “To have an opportunity to bring a US Soccer National License course to Grand Park is a unique opportunity for those coaches.”
