March 29, 2022 - Indianapolis, IN Jim Nickens, has been named Chair of the Bank Insurance & Securities Association (BISA) Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee. The BISA DEI Committee actively inspires member firms to develop an inclusive working environment to improve business results and strengthen the financial services industry. The committee seeks to equip its members with opportunities and action plans to attract, develop, and retain diverse talent through empowerment, education, and engagement. Its DEI programs include Black Voices Unmuted, Rising Stars Program, and Future Leaders, as well as a Women’s Networking Lunch and DEI Peer Group at the BISA Annual Convention.
Jim Nickens has always believed in giving back to the communities in which he resides and is an enthusiastic advocate for the causes where he can help affect change. In addition to his role with BISA’s DEI Committee, Nickens serves as board president of the Indiana Soccer Foundation, as well as on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Soccer Association. Prior board work includes Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana, Girl Scouts of Central Indiana, Woodland Hill Montessori School, Unity House of Troy (NY), and Double H Ranch. In his spare time, Jim is a coach at Indy Premier Soccer Club.
Nickens joined InSource in 2011 after a successful tenure as Senior Vice President and Sales Manager for Key Investment Services LLC (KIS) where he was responsible for providing sales leadership to financial advisors in the Eastern New York and Vermont regions.
Prior to joining Key, Nickens served as Regional Investment Sales Manager and Vice President for NatCity Investments, managing a successful team of financial advisors in Indiana and Kentucky. Previous to that position, he was Vice President and Affiliate Sales Manager for Fifth Third Securities in Toledo, OH. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Amherst College (Amherst, Massachusetts).
