Indiana Soccer Hosts In-Person 9v9 US Soccer National D License in New Albany, Indiana

March 12th, 2022, New Albany, IN. Indiana Soccer hosted the US National D License Course in New Albany, Indiana. The brisk morning saw a great turnout at the in-person meetings, as a dozen coaches took to the fields to demonstrate their developmental growth throughout the previous 16 weeks.

Various local players from the SIU soccer club programming participated in the field sessions. The on-field portion of the US Soccer D License kicked off to a great start with an incredible field session presentation that included skill acquisition and use of the Coaches Toolkit. Special thanks to Coach Dutch Vigar and the SIU soccer club boys and girls for participating in the candidates' coaching sessions and New Albany High School for the use of their facilities.

“Indiana Soccer has always been at the forefront of offering Coaching Education programming to its membership, be it Grassroots courses for our novice or volunteer coaches - through the National level courses,” stated Steve Franklin, Indiana Soccer Director of Coaching Education.  “This course provides a number of our Indiana coaches, as well as those from around the United States, with a holistic learning environment which will pay dividends in their coaching for years to come.”
