Indiana Soccer ODP Is Proud To Announce Finalist In The 2019 Cups |
Indiana Soccer Olympic Development Program wants to congratulate all of the players (both current as well as former alums) that advanced to the finals of the Challenge, President’s and State Cup this past weekend. We appreciate the home clubs, the home club coaches and the home club directors of coaching that worked so hard to prepare the players and their teams for these events.
Indiana Soccer would like to recognize all players, clubs, and coaches as well as thank the parents for their time and effort in getting the players to their club team training as well as the Indiana Soccer Olympic Development Program training sessions and events.
Players must be formally invited to participate in State Pool Training. Each player is fairly evaluated in the four components of the game (technical, tactical, psychological, and physical), their creativity and problem solving ability, their ability to contribute to the team, an individual's versatility as a player, and the ability to be competitive within the current State Pool.
Tryouts for the 2019-2020 season will begin in September 2019. Watch for information in early August 2019.
Tryouts & Additional Player Identification Methods |
Thanks for trying out for the 2018-2019 season. We will see you Fall 2019. If you have any questions, please contact Joy Carter. For further information, please read the Administrator FAQ.
Players may also be identified and invited directly into the State Pool in their respective age groups via the following ways:
Scouting Program
The Indiana Olympic Development Program Coaches go to tournaments to identify players and also watch league and high school games to identify players through direct participation with their club and high school teams. Players identified through the scouting program will be invited directly into the State Pool in their respective age group.
Recommendations from ODP State, Regional and National Coaches
Indiana ODP solicits recommendations from coaches around the state, region and nation who have seen players in their normal playing environments. If a player is recommended directly to the Indiana Olympic Development Program the player will either be invited directly into the State Pool or will be asked to attend an Evaluation session (tryout) for further evaluation.
