|Early Club Commitment Provision
Most of us would agree that there must be a better way to address the stress created by the annual "tryouts" for our players and their families. In an effort to respectfully address this issue for the benefit all stakeholders, a number of meetings, and conversations have occurred over the past several months. One of your member clubs offered a draft document that is meant to address this issue. This document names "early club commitment provision" has been vetted and edited - a final copy is linked for your edification. This provision allows players and families to opt out of the tryout process by recommitting to their existing club prior to the formal tryout period. There are some safeguards in the provision for players and families and we strongly recommend that you read the new policy and don't hesitate to ask for clarification should you have questions. This provision is being implemented on a trial basis and is effective immediately. Check with your club to see if they will be taking advantage of this opportunity.
