One of this year’s breakout sessions during Indiana Soccer’s annual meeting and workshops, was delivered by Margaret Domka, a recent US World Cup referee. Margaret is currently investing her time and talent to make the play space more safe by educating coaches and administrators as it relates to Mental Health & Sport.
The U.S. Center for Mental Health & Sport is the Official Mental Health & Wellness of US Youth Soccer and is offering an opportunity for Indiana Soccer coaches to participate in a 4-week, 1-hour-per-week session beginning on Tuesday, February 7 to learn about mental health, and how it can affect your coaching role, along with strategies to provide opportunities for optimum mental wellbeing for yourself, peer coaches, and your athletes.
The cost is a modest $28 or $7/week. You can register and learn more by visiting the following link: https://mentalhealthandsport.org/events/
