The Indiana Soccer 5-Star Program Gains Momentum

Indiana Soccer introduced the idea and concept of the 5-Star Program in 2018. The purpose of this initiative is to ensure legal corporate compliance and increase the capacity and quality of member clubs.  Several Clubs have started their 5-Star journey and are attracting the attention of those around them.

Michiana Echo earned their first star (Governance) back in September 2019.  On Friday, March 13, 2020 Indiana Soccer signed off on the completion of three (3) more stars (Alignment, Risk Management, and Communication/Marketing) bringing their tally to four!  They have also already submitted the documentation for their fifth star  (Education) and are awaiting the review results.  Congratulations to Michiana Echo for committing to this project and understanding the value it can bring to their club.

In February, South Central Soccer Academy was able to complete the Education, Communication/Marketing, and Governance stars. They were among the 5 clubs that were recognized during the AGM meeting on February 22 with custom plaques showing their 5-Star progress.  SCSA has also committed fully to the program and have submitted documentation for their remaining two stars.

Fort Wayne Sport Club is marching full steam in their pursuit of the 5-Star completion, too.  On March 17th, Indiana Soccer signed off on the completion of the Education, Governance, and Alignment stars bringing their total to four stars, too. FWSC earned the first star in the state (Communication) back in June of 2019 and they have submitted documentation for their 5th star (Risk Management).

"One of the extended workshop sessions held on February 22 was about club governance/structure and that session led to a great discussion about the positive impact this program is having on the clubs who are participating.  I am excited about the future of the clubs in Indiana.  It is obvious that they are striving to be the best they can be!" --Angel Hall, 5-Star Program Director, Associate Director - Indiana Soccer.

Indiana Soccer continues to receive submissions from clubs each week. Other clubs that have made submissions include Fort Wayne United, Zionsville Youth Soccer, and Cutters Soccer Club. Your state association is committed to assisting each one of you in your journey to become a 5-Star Club.
