Mick Lyon’s Profile
Mick was instrumental in the success of both the University of Evansville men’s and womens’s soccer programs – University of Evansville
- First 3-time Most Valuable Player for the men (1985 – 87)
- 1987 NSCAA 2nd Team All-American
- Mideast All-Region player in each of his three seasons at UE, was an All-Midwestern Collegiate Conference player in 1987
- Became an assistant coach for the men in 1991 before taking over as the first women’s coach in Purple Aces history.
- Held that position until 2001; led the Aces to nine MVC titles and three NCAA Tournament appearances
- Earned four Coach of the Year awards (1994 – Great Midwest, 1996, 97, and 2000 Missouri Valley Conference)
