“What a great weekend to see individuals from around the state come together to support their players and teams.” Stated George Perry, ISL Commissioner
It is especially encouraging to hear about Indiana Soccer’s sideline etiquette campaign, aimed at promoting positive behavior among spectators. Creating a supportive and respectful environment for young athletes is crucial for their enjoyment and development in the sport. It is wonderful feedback, based on interviews with attendees, that the mood at the games has been overwhelmingly positive, with most parents empowering their children to play without unnecessary interference.
One of the players interviewed mentioned that they noticed a remarkable positive difference in how parents conducted themselves at the weekend events, something heartwarming to hear from the players.
Overall, the Indiana Soccer Cup Program not only provided a platform for competitive soccer but also fostered a sense of community and sportsmanship among participants and spectators alike.
