About Rick Weber
Rick Weber was a proponent of soccer in the Evansville community for over 30 years. His efforts to support soccer in the area saw no bounds as Weber served in countless roles.
A 1970 graduate of Reitz High School, Weber served as a member of the Reitz High School Soccer Booster Club Board of Directors and was integral in the forming of the Mater Dei High School Soccer Booster Club.
Weber was instrumental in the success of local, state-wide, and national soccer tournaments that took place in Evansville. Through his efforts he assisted in bringing the State Cup Finals to the city. Additionally, Weber served on the Indiana Youth Soccer Association Board of Directors as district commissioner and secretary.
Weber’s desire to serve the Evansville community did not stop at bringing tournaments to the city. He contributed his time to coaching recreational soccer, managed Moutoux Park soccer fields, and served as grounds keeper and announcer for the EVSC High School soccer fields. His impact continued when he played a role as one of the original founders of the Evansville Elite Soccer Club.
Weber’s commitment to the Evansville soccer programs spanned decades. His unending support allowed countless youth to participate in soccer at the local, state, and national level.
